Here we are, with episode one of Four Minute Photo Feedback! If you’re not sure what this photography video series is about, check out the description. In short, Four Minute Photo Feedback is a video series where I will share my thoughts on the photos that you submit.

James Mott did that – he sent me three of his favourite photos and I gave feedback. Two of the photos are of Los Scallywags and one is of Ill Sylvester.

The photo feedback

Here are the notes I drew on each photo:

I then took one of my recent photos and obliterated it with notes of how I could have edited it better.

There’s always improvements to be made, and each episode will include a reflection of my own work. Learning is a never-ending process and we are our own worst critic.

You know what else I need to get better with? Making this feedback fit under four minutes. I set the challenge of a four minute video length to make it easy to consume. I think it’s possible, but wow this one blew out huge! I’ll try harder next episode.
