Skegss hit Brisbane as part of their tour to support their new EP, Holiday Food.
Wasting no time, the boys jumped straight into it, blasting through a set that somehow covered even amounts of all of their releases, 50 Pushups For A Dollar, Everyone Is Good At Something and of course, Holiday Food. All of the tracks were played off Holiday Food – Spring Has Sprung was last, but Got On My Skateboard, You Probably Won’t Die For A While, Soaking It All In, and my favourite, No Future For Me. Man, I love that last track especially. It feels so rough and energetic, which is a totally different way to end an album than most albums do.
The first time I photographed Skegss was on Dune Rats’ album launch tour when they played three sold-out shows at The Triffid back-to-back. I’m pretty hyped to keep shooting them. Great energy and good dudes.
Skegss are a three piece punk band from Byron Bay, Australia. You can stream Holiday Food through Apple Music or Spotify now.
